How do I record sounds on a handheld device?

With Thinklabs One, you can record heart and lung sounds on external devices, such as tablets, mobile phones, laptops, and computers. Capture sounds on the go, and then email them via messaging apps.  You can email the sounds to yourself and then attach to a patient record (EMR), share them with your patient or a colleague, or listen around the bedside with students, which is great in academic settings, or in telemedicine.

The Thinklink Mobile Kit is included with your One and connects to almost any mobile device, including iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.  You can also use professional recording devices.  For recording on computers, we recommend the AudioTechnica ATR2USB.

The quality of your recording is dependent on the device with which you record. Heart sounds can be challenging for many lower quality recording systems to faithfully reproduce. We do not recommend using dictation recorders because the audio quality is inadequate in most.
